In the production by the talented artistic director of the Academic Theater "Kyiv Modern-Ballet" Radu Poklitaru, the famous story of the passionate Sevillian gypsy appears in a completely new light. While preserving the spirit of Prosper Mérimée's novella and the immortal music of Georges Bizet, he created a performance where classic seamlessly intertwines with modernity. Every movement, image, and scene become an emotional language that tells of love, jealousy, freedom, and fatal choice stronger than any words.
The image of Micaëla gains special significance in this production. She loses the status of José's fiancée and becomes a kind of observer and driving force of the story. Through her perception, a dramatic narrative unfolds as if transmitted from a television screen. This original directorial idea explains the appearance of the abbreviation TV in the performance's title and gives the classic plot a new artistic dimension. And this is worth seeing live!

Декорації та костюми, створені одними з кращих театральних художників сучасності Андрієм Злобіним та Ганною Іпатьєвою, наповнюють сценічний простір ритмом життя ХХІ століття, зберігаючи при цьому дух старої Іспанії.
